NEW RELEASE: Baker’s 13 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

NEW RELEASE: Baker’s 13 Year Single Barrel Bourbon

James B Beam Co. (Jim Beam) just announced the re-releasing of Baker’s 13 Year Single Barrel Bourbon – a limited-edition bottling of special 13-year-old single barrel liquid, bottled at 107 proof.

Highlights

  • AGE: 13 years
  • PROOF: 107 (103.5% abv)
  • PRICE: $149.99 SRP
  • AVAILABILITY: Nationwide in August

Per the brand, this extra-aged expression explores how time and location in the warehouse drive distinction from barrel to barrel. From still to rickhouse to bottle, a lot of things happen with the liquid like weather, length of aging, and rickhouse placement all shape the distinct notes and flavors of each barrel.

Baker's

Named after Baker Beam, grandnephew of the legendary Jim Beam, Baker’s Bourbon honors the family’s long history of distilling. Jim Beam first released Baker’s Bourbon in 1988 as part of its Small Batch Collection. Booker Noe, the sixth generation distiller at Jim Beam, created the bourbon in honor of his grand-nephew, Baker Beam, a distiller who worked at the Jim Beam Distillery for 38 years. Baker’s is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that’s aged for a minimum of seven years at 107 proof and comes from the top floor of the Jim Beam Distillery warehouses.

In 2019, Beam Suntory, Jim Beam’s parent company, relaunched Baker’s as a single barrel product with two age-stated expressions: a seven-year and a 13-year. The 13-year bourbon has a mashbill of 77% corn, 13% rye, and 10% malted barley and is rust in color.
