Stunning Bourbon Barrel Art Display Unveils Today in Bourbon Country’s Lexington, KY. Live Auction on May 10th.
Ok, yes, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. We get that. Especially with Bourbon barrels;) However, lets not discount what’s on the outside and enhancing the outer beauty, especially for a good cause.
In Lexington, Kentucky, there is an upcoming display of 10 beautifully painted Bourbon barrels by various local artists, all of which will be up for grabs at a LIVE AUCTION on May 10th. The official unveiling is today, March 15th, 5pm EDT at Lexington’s 5/3 Pavilion via The Jockey. The organizer is our good friend Kate Lossen, special shout out to her, to the Lexington Event Company, Alltech Brewing, Longwood Antiques and to all the artists who have worked so hard together in creating such a visually captivating movement.

[Lexington, KY] – The Jockey is excited to announce a captivating art installation, presented by the Lexington Event Company and sponsored by Alltech Brewing and Longwood Antique Woods. Showcased on the patio at 131 Cheapside, next to the 5/3 Pavilion, this exhibition features ten hand-painted barrels. It highlights our local artistic talent and celebrates the dynamic culture of our community.

The unveiling ceremony will commence promptly at 5:00 PM on March 15th. Attendees will have the opportunity to admire these unique artworks while enjoying refreshments and interacting with the artists.
The ten featured artists are:

This art installation not only offers public enjoyment but also gives patrons at The Jockey a chance to preview the barrels in person before the opportunity to purchase them in May. ‘Art, Ales, and Advocacy’ is a charitable event hosted by The Jockey on May 10th, where the ten horse racing-themed, hand-painted barrels will be auctioned. The proceeds will benefit the Fayette Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to sustainable and equitable growth in Lexington-Fayette County through advocacy, education, and research. Hosted by The Jockey and presented by the Lexington Event Company, with support from Alltech Brewing and Longwood Antique Woods, this event promises an evening brimming with art, entertainment, and philanthropy.
